Avram Grant has dropped Dynamo Houston defender Samuel Inkoom, Leicester City’s Jeffrey Schlupp, Ibrahim Moro and Kwabena Adusei in his final 23-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Youngsters Baba Rahman, Daniel Amartey, Frank Acheampong, David Accam and Kwesi Appiah got their Afcon debut call-ups.

Norway-based striker Mahatma Otoo has been given a late call-up to replace injured Abdul-Majeed Waris.

Schlupp was excluded from the squad because of an injury that will rule him out of action for about three weeks.

The Black Stars have been drawn against Senegal, Algeria and South Africa in Group C.
