The night everyone had been anticipating to catch a glimpse of the first ever huge budget video done by a Ghanaian in person of Rebecca Acheampong a.k.a. Becca featuring her West African ‘big brother’ Jude Abaga a.k.a. ‘Mister Incredible’ M.I had finally come and invited guests, title sponsor of the Video Premier – Kasapreko Company Limited and the media were present.
After much paparazzi, exchange of pleasantries as usual, visual wet of appetite kept everyone on their toes waiting for the collaboration of talents that have worked so hard to be worth celebrated on any day but this time it was a blissful night.
With the atmosphere clothed in sponsor’s paraphernalia and tables supported with bottles of branded drinks, the wait came to an end when a brief introduction kicked the projector off leading all eyes to the gargantuan screen and finally the video was dropped to the roaring cheers and never ending applaud that gestured acceptance by the public.
Having done different collaborations with different acts, Becca publicly thanked the short black boy, ‘I want to use this platform and say a very big ‘thank you’ to M.I from the very first day he hopped into the studio to record his part to the day of the video shoot in South Africa to today. He has been a wonderful pal and on behalf of EKB Entertainment, I want to say we appreciate his support’.
NO AWAY was directed by Brandon Oloefosn, an award winning video director and shot in Pretoria, South Africa by a company called Tough Sunday.
