Shatta

This must be the funniest joke to start the year with and guess who this is coming from, it is from no other but the most influential Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.

Born as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, Shatta Wale was on Adom FM’s “Kasahari level” with Pope Skinny and on the show, the Kakai hitmaker said he stopped smoking in 2012 and has since not “gone high” on any drug till date.

Though we dont have any solid evidence to prove Shatta Wale has been going high till date, but as the saying goes, one needs not to be a psychic to know about certain things, and with that, we can say that Shatta Wale’s comment on drugs is a false one.

To me, smoking marijuana isnt as bad as publicity states, however, based on how you use it can either result in a negative or a positive outcome. Im not into marijuana and that doesnt mean im ‘fully’ against that but i dont think anyone, especially Shatta Wale will go on air and boast of being a drug addict. No, he wouldnt do that when he knows very well that he is the number one media enemy and that, people are expecting these kind of confessions  to use against him.

Take it or leave it, Shatta Wale is trending than his colleague dancehall musicians and as smart as he is, he always knows how to play around with publicity.

Currently, he has four top songs making waves in and outside Ghana. These songs are, Hol It, Get That From, Zenabu and my favorite, Kakai.

With these songs, there is no show Shatta Wale wouldnt be billed on to perform and now that he is taking huge amount of money before rocking a stage, event promoters should know what they are really about before picking up a phone to book him for a show. No wonder he made over 300,000 cedis in 2015 from shows and tours.

Ha Hai, Shatta Wale keeps scaring them like Kakai….
