Rapper, Edem, has dedicated his recently won Best International Act – Africa award, to the victims of the June 3rd and 4th disaster.

Edem beat other African acts, Davido, dynamic South African group Mafikizolo, Oritse Femi, Teeyah, Nigeria’s Yemi Alade and Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo for the title at the Black Canadian Awards ceremony, held at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto, Canada on Saturday.

The ‘Zero to Hero’ hitmaker in an Instagram post on Monday, paid a touching tribute to those who died in the fuel station fire and flood disasters.

“I specifically dedicate my International African Act Of The Year Award to all who lost their lives and those who lost their loved ones in the recent Accra flood disaster…to all GH ppl who are part of the everyday struggle…I promise am hopeful the new generation will continue to get power to empower and pioneer change,” he said.
