One of the biggest fitting shops in Kokompe – Accra has been burnt to almost ashes.
GhallyWoodStars.Com can confirm this.
The shop which is located at Darkuman, near the Kokompe Eye Clinic started combustion early this morning and as to what led to the fire outbreak, nothing has been said about it.
However, according to the mechanics, it is shocking as to how the shop was able to catch fire because yesternight when locking the shop, they didnt have electricity due to the low power shortage we are all experiencing termed as Dumsor.
It is a 4 shops combined which include a mechanic, auto electrician and welder with about 129 cars under repair. The shop is so big to the extent of having over 26 apprentices and about 9 masters.
The Ghana National Fire Service was able to reduce the ignition but by the time they finished saving the cars, over 14 cars have been burnt and 10 cars beyond repair.
A spraying shop also got burnt to ashes and another golf car which was taped for spraying today.
Authorities have decided to withdraw the name of the shop for some reasons which wont permit GhallyWoodStars.Com to state here, but let me give you a clue. If you have a car in a fitting shop closer to the Kokompe Eye Clinic, then you better attend to it and see the condition of your wheel.
