Silky voice Highlife singer Dada KD (real name: Kwaku Duah) is presently living in fear and panic over a threat by some unknown criminals desperately after his life.
Peacefmonline.com can exclusively disclose that the calm and collected Highlife singer’s resident in Tanoso where he hails from in the Ashanti region was attacked and ransacked by armed robbers who didn’t just go there to steal but also after his life.
Speaking to Peacefmonline.com this afternoon, extremely terrified Dada KD said he was in Accra when a relative called him early Thursday morning to inform him that heavily armed robbers attacked his residence in Tanoso where a number of his relatives live.
According to him the operation took place in the wee hours of Wednesday August 29, 2012 just few hours after he left the same residence to Accra.
Explaining the incident, the singer said according to one of his relatives who witnessed the attack, the well-built armed robbers who numbered up eight surrounded the house before they finally broke into the house.
He narrated that the robbers locked all his relatives including his auntie, five siblings and other relatives into one room and ransacked the whole house and left when they were satisfied.
He disclosed that the robbers made away with several items including; a large size flat screen television set, Sound systems, shoes, shirts among other things costing over $10,000.
In addition, the robbers took everybody’s mobile phone and tried to move a saloon car which was packed in the house but unfortunately for them the engine had broken down and the car had no tyres.
Dada KD told Peacefmonline.com that he doesn’t really care about the things they took away but what he is worried about is when the armed robbers left a message for him on their way out that they came because of him (Dada KD) and since he was not present at that moment, his family members should tell him that they will definitely come back for him.
Asked if he has any suspects in mind; he said he has been going through his mind since the incident happened but he has not been able to think of any suspect yet.
As to whether he has a problem with anybody to attract such threats KD said “I don’t have a problem with anybody I am thinking about myself and minding my own business. I don’t know what will make people like that be after my life. I have tried enough to deepen my thoughts just to recollect myself if I had ever done anything unlikable against anyone but I just can’t find answers.”
Even though he has reported the incident to the police who are still investigating the matter, KD said he is living in fear because he doesn’t know who the robbers are, where they are and why they are looking for him.
