Rapper Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie says that Ghanaian media exaggerate a lot in their reports. According to him, this has made him not to take some media houses serious.
Speaking to Infoboxx TV on how he heard the arrest of Kwaw Kese which happened in Kumasi last year, Sarkodie said he did not believe the news when he read about it until music producer Hammer called to inform him.
“Ghana media, I take some serious I don’t take some serious. They exaggerate a lot so I thought it was one of those jokes that was going around which didn’t make me take it serious until Hammer called me. Coming from Hammer, you will believe it. I then realize it was serious”
Hammer of The Last 2 on the other hand applauded the media for their immense support they showed Kwaw Kese when he was on remand.
“The response of the press shows the magnitude of artiste you are. If you are a very small artiste, the press won’t bother so I think we should see the positive side of the press even though there were negative stories left and right. At least, it should that attention was on Kwaw”
