Budding Hip-hop/Highlife and Afropop artist, Weaporn has disclosed who he looks up to.

Speaking to DJ Alligator on Storm FM’s Mid-Morning Show in Sunyani, the Tarkwa indigene who now plies his trade in Accra said he draws a lot of inspirations from Sarkodie, and he hopes to achieve more than he has done.

“I grew up listening to Okomfo Kwadei, Obrafour and Sarkodie. For now, Sarkodie is the number one artiste in Ghana. That is how I see him. I want to be more than him. I don’t want to be like him…but I want to achieve more than he has done,” he stated.

Weaporn said he is working hard to make his brand reach the International market.

Being in the music scene for about three to four years now, Weaporn is preparing to release his maiden album soon.

He won the New Artiste of the Year at the 2018 RTC Western Music Awards.

Weaporn, who is currently promoting his latest song titled ‘Ekebe’ featuring Flowking Stone, revealed that ‘Ekebe’ simply means a woman with a nice body.

He disclosed that he conceived the idea of praising women with beautiful body shape in this piece.
Weaporn said his team is working hard to release the visuals of ‘Ekebe’ soon.

He promised his fans that he will drop a lot of songs featuring some well known Ghanaian musicians. Weaporn added that an EP will be released before the end of the year.
