Actress Salma Mumin is the latest young lady to join the chain of actresses who produce their own movies.

This is a gesture most people attribute to the fact that, the actors and actress do not get movie roles but the No Man’s Land producer says that is far from the truth.

“I am not producing because I don’t get roles to play or I don’t get calls to feature in movies, after all I was an actress before I entered into production.

“My motive for taking this step is to give young actors the opportunity to showcase their talents,” she said in an interview with source.

Asked if she is not worried that, this step will deter other production houses from giving her roles to play as directors or producers will think of her as a ‘high time’ actress, she said; “the house that produced the movie is Salma Pictures and I am Salma Mumin so there is no way other producers will think highly of me so far as charging for movies is concerned.”

Salma Mumin premiered her first produced movie No Man’s Land over the weekend at the Silver Birds cinemas. The premiere brought together a lot of industry players, actors and actresses.
