Black Stars striker Kwesi Appiah won the man of the match award in the side’s 3-0 win over Guinea at the quarterfinals of the 2015 AFCON on Sunday.

The 24-year-old won the prestigious award after scoring to help the team record an emphatic victory over their opponent.

Appiah got Ghana’s second goal in the 44th minute after taking advantage of a defensive blunder to place the ball past Guinea goalkeeper Nabi Yattara.

This however serves as a major boost for the Cambridge United attacker who was making his full competitive debut for the Black Stars.

The English-born Ghanaian has thus scored his second goal in four appearances for the Black Stars.
