Sylvester Stallone has been hit by a second tragedy in a matter of weeks, with the death of his half-sister. Still reeling from the premature d*ath of son Sage a month ago, Sly is now also grieving for Toni-Ann Filiti, who succumbed to lung and liver cancer.
The 48-year-old died on Sunday night at their mother Jackie Stallone’s house, after opting to leave hospital and spend her final days at home. A family source told Radar: ‘She passed away last night and it was somewhat expected. After being in the ICU she decided she wanted to die in the house so she could spend time with her family.’

Jackie, 90, had earlier told the New York Post that she was hoping for a miracle. ‘She is conscious and responsive sometimes, but not really,’ she said. ‘What we need is a miracle. I still believe there are miracles; it is the only thing that keeps you going.
‘I always think some miracle will happen, and she will wake up and this is all a bad dream. I want her with us until the last hour. She looks beautiful lying there. But her condition is critical.’
And she said that the loss was hard to cope with, coming so soon after the loss of Sage, 36. ‘I am doing terrible after having my grandson go, then my daughter [critical] at 48 years old. It isn’t easy. I don’t know what to do.’
