The pastor of the Christ Evangelical Church, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna, revealed that over 200 Muslim youth volunteered to watch over the Christians during church services on Christmas day.

The cleric made this known while speaking with newsmen in Kaduna, saying the Muslims were at his church to help protect members of his church from any attack during the church service.

“I really appreciate their love and care,” Buru said, noting that the feat is the first of its kind following series of violent attacks in the state in recent times.

According to Buru, the action of the Muslims will promote peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians in the state.

He therefore prayed to God to continue to bring about peace in the country and urged other citizens to emulate the Kaduna Muslims, noting that peace was a major panacea to the positive development of any nation.
