If actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Wyn has gone scot free in some cases as much as his acting career is concerned, we at Flex newspaper are afraid that this time round, he might not be lucky like before.
When the Flex newspaper team went to the Ashanti Region for our Freedom in Konongo musical concert over the weekend, little did we know that a big story was running down our table. In a visit to one of the major Akan movies production firm Miracle Films in Kumasi, we realized that a new movie had been released by Mr. Samuel Nyamekye now Evangelist Samuel Nyamekye who happens to be the chief executive officer of Miracle Films titled “EVANGELIST LILWYN” .
In the movie, Lil Wyn was playing his favourite comedy role but this time round he was acting as a man of God who will never hesitate to admonish people doing the wrong thing in their Christian life. Even though many had not seen the movie as of that time, a promo or call it a thriller which is running on TV has angered some NDC people to the core.
“Evangelist Lil Wyn” as we understood from the producer Mr. Samuel Nyamekye in a telephone interview, is about Lil Wyn only acting as a true ‘No nonsense” Evangelist who will never allow a wrong doing or sinful act pass him by. “He made sure that every sinful act that he sees, he will condemn it even if it means people coming for his dear life. During one of his out door preaching in the movie, he made mention that if you are a president and you give away so much money to one person to spend unnecessarily, then you are a fool. In fact, he took a swipe at all and sundry including people who are practicing gay, lesbianism, prostitution, infidelity and every sinful act one could think of. It is not as if he was being disrespectful to a particular government or something like that. What many people in the movie liked him for was his popular saying “how dare you” which comes with a chorus response “aboowa” Evangelist Samuel Nyamekye told Flex newspaper on phone. It is in the wake of this statement that the Kumasi Branch of Team of Popular Youth of NDC are pushing an allegation that Kojo Nkansah was talking against one of the revered presidents of our country the late Professor Mills and his His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. In an interview with the regional chairman of the active NDC group in Kumasi Team of Popular Youth of NDC, Mr. Kwadwo Twum Okyere stated that actors should know they are acting so they should mind their language at any point in time.
“If Lil Wyn thinks he is acting, then he should pay attention to the acting but if he will decide to bring in some serious and sensitive political statements which can go against the party in terms of campaign, then he should come again. That Woyome issue is a serious and a sensitive case for any comedian or actor to joke with. To say a president who did that is a fool is no joke to some of us at all. If he does not know the effect of what he is doing, then he should ask Mr. Beautiful who is going through a lot of rejection right now because he joked with politics. As much as he is looking for money with his acting career, he should consider the feelings of some party faithfuls who will not take some things lightly. We want this to be his first and last time for doing such a thing else he will suffer the consequence next time” Kwadwo Twum Okyere told Flex newspaper on phone.
Information we gathered is that the movie has been released and there is a mad rush for it by movie fans all over Ghana. It is now on record that Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Wyn is the leading actor in the Akan made movies currently. Evangelist Lil Wyn is a new product of Miracle films and it features stars like Nana Ama Mcbrown, Mercy Asiedu, Bill Asamoah and many more.
