Fresh female dancehall singer, Nyamekye assured her fans that she has thoroughly reorganized her musical career to establish a strong dancehall brand. The up and coming singer whose new single ‘simple girl’ is currently enjoying massive airplay across Ghana said that, she saw the need to restructure her brand to accommodate the teaming fans emerging from different countries. She explained that her total re-hauling will be all round, that’s from her lyrics, production, branding, performance and management. “My music has surprisingly travelled abroad and I was shocked when fans from Europe started contacting me on social media” – the bubbly singer stressed.
She opined that, her restructuring will take the form of several changes that will affect her music positively. “It is essential as a new artiste to know that, our music has the ability to cross boarders especially with the existence of social media, therefore, we need to be prepared for the exposure and its implication”.
This reporter can attest to rumours that Nyamekye is closely being monitored (purposely to be signed onto a record deal) by a newly established afro-based record label who are in Ghana to help push artistes to gain international recognitions. If this gossip is true, then we definitely know she is going to excel. We have our suspicions on Frontline Entertainment, owned by a business guru called ‘Buju’. We’ll be monitoring this deal to bring you up to date when it happens.
