Kwasi Korang
It seems the perception that people in the Brong Ahafo region are not supportive is gradually gaining roots. The notion now is, go to Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and even now Tamale—and you will make it.

Up and coming rapper in the Brong Ahafo region, Kwasi Korang has lamented in a recent interview with the News Hunter Magazine on the kind of support they receive from residents of the region.

The ‘Ye Gye Ye Sika’ composer believes talents in the region will reach higher heights if they get an unflinching support from their people.

He appealed to DJ’s, Radio Presenters and all stakeholders to throw their weight behind the talents in the region.

Kwasi Korang speaking with the News Hunter Magazine said he joined the trend to release his version of choices because people were misusing it.

“I choose a different style to make it unique by addressing issues in the Brong Ahafo region. I talked entertainment, sports, social issues and anything that matter. My version is unique…and I prefer to call it the B/A living.”

According to him, his ‘Ye Gye Ye sika’ track which talked about the DKM Saga was hugely embraced by the people of Brong Ahafo.

“Currently, Ye Gye Ye Sika is the most successful song that I have released. It enjoyed massive airplay in the region and other places. It was an instant hit. The people liked it.

“I have been in the music scene for five years now. I started rapping way back in SHS at Twene Amafo,” he disclosed.

Kwasi Korang revealed that he will work on a song which will educate people in the region so that they will not fall for any invest scam again.

“DKM, Good is Love, Jester motors and others has cost us a lot so as a B/A advocate, I will do a new song to educate my people on how to safe their monies.”
