Hollywood thespian and screen goddess, Angelina Jolie met with the Pope of the Catholic church pope Francis during a private screening of of movie “UNBROKEN” which she directed. The U.N Envoy met with Pope Francis briefly after the screening to some Vatican officials and ambassadors.
Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi, said the film shows, “positive human and spiritual values, in particular forgiveness” and that the meeting between the pope and pop culture icon, “lasted just a few minutes, even though it was naturally very significant for those present.”
The jet-setting actress met other high-profile figures last year, including Queen Elizabeth, who named her an honorary dame in October.
Even though the pope did not see the film personally, the Vatican’s seeming endorsement is a gold star many have tried to obtain but few have achieved. Good tidings to the Maleficent queen!
