President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Doha last Saturday and was met at the airport by the Minister for Petroleum and Industry of Qatar, Dr. Mahammed Bin Saleh Alsada.
Shortly after arrival, he held discussions with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, at the Royal Palace.
A Flagstaff House news release copied to the Ghana News Agency said during the visit, President Mahama will focus his discussions on investments in the country’s power and energy sector.
He will also meet with the leadership of the Qatar Foundation, well known for providing support for world class tertiary education and other philanthropic causes.
President Mahama will also meet the Qatar business community and the Ghanaian Community in Doha, the release further stated.
