Popular radio station in Accra, Yfm broke a story on their website which states the biggest rivals currently, Shatta Wale and Samini have collaborated on a song meant for the No Yawa campaign to draw attention to the need for straight societal education by the youth.


This news came after another hoax regarding the promotion of marijuana in Ghana by Samini  came in. According to the source, Ghana Police has threatened to arrest Samini for naming his Record Label “High Grade”


Speaking with the PR for the High Grade Family, Elorm Beenie revealed to us that, all those stories are false. Samini has done no collaboration with Shatta Wale and has also not received any threat from the Police. Those stories are jokes, prank or tricks. Those sharing it should stop because its false….

He added, it was a project song. And not a song between just the two of them. That’s what I heard. But my team has NOT confirmed any song between “just the two artistes” yet. If it is true Management will confirm it.



In other news, it’s almost a week now, since the mad time rapper, Kwaw Kese was arrested in Kumasi for allegedly smoking wee in public.

Kwaw was sent to court on Monday, 24 November 2014.

A Kumasi Circuit Court however remanded popular Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese to two weeks in prison custody ahead of the next hearing date December 8.

There has been a social media campaign dubbed #FreeKwawKese, with the aim of pleading to the law for the release of Kwaw.

Other celebrities including Sarkodie, Hammer, Samini, to mention but few have visited the rapper in Kumasi.
